Any Experience With This Company?

I've been insurance-shopping preparatory to possibly changing my insurer. A couple of days back I received a quote for house insurance, just about identical in coverage to what I have now, at a cost of approximately one-half the annual premium that I am paying now. The company in question is Cabrillo Coastal, which is part of U.S. Coastal Property & Casualty Insurance Company.

I have done my research on this company but internet sources can be unreliable. Has anyone here actually had some experience with this company? If so, please share.

3 years ago we went with new company Kin, found very little info, about the company. Took a chance first years for same coverage was $624, almost $1,000. Less than our AAA policy, renew came for $1,210. We will be shopping prior to next renewal.

Yes we took a gamble, on a new company, but so far it worked out. We also are looking at the 3 new insurance companies entering into market. It’s not like the old days where loyalty is to your benefit. I look at as better than self insuring, or state run insurance

You won't know how good an insurance company is until you put in a claim.... until then, it's a gamble.
