Travelers forgives September car insurance premiums

Checked my checking account for sept and saw no premium deducted for car insurance. Called the villages ins and they told me because of the hurricane that hit the coast, they are waiving all premiums for any resident of Florida no matter where you live in Florida. Thought that was a nice gesture.

Probably explains why they were $300+ higher for identical coverage (that I got elsewhere) when I shopped last January. :D :D. Wonder what happens to those who pay in full up front? Hopefully they get a credit.

Thank you for sharing. What insurance do you have? I do not believe this was provided to me with mine. Although mine is due very early in the month so maybe will receive a future credit?
Thanks!

Actually, according to the Villages Insurance representative, the amount that was not deducted from September will simply be added, pro-rata, to the following months remaining on your policy. No free lunch! No reduction in total paid at year end.

I didn't think an insurance company would forgive a payment. Giving you 30 extra days makes more sense.

I will check next month to see if they added to my October premium

I will check to see if they added extra for October premium.
