The Villages Polo
 

We went to our first polo match today and loved it! If you have never been to The Villages Polo Grounds for a match, I highly recommend going at least one time. We were a bit hesitant as we knew absolutely nothing about polo. So we watched a very quick video on YouTube and understood at least the basic rules. Then, when we got to the field, we upgraded for $5.00 to the upstairs grandstand and thought it was well worth the extra cost. Prior to the match, the announcer (who is absolutely fantastic) went over the rules. Then, once the match began he would give play-by-play commentary on what was happening...it made it so enjoyable and understandable. Stomping of the Divots was fun and we were even given free champagne courtesy of Property of the Villages. The concessions were good (pulled pork sandwich, hot dog, salad) and typical Villages bar. If you've never been, I recommend highly. As for us....we will be back!

It's a lot of fun to go golf cart tailgating with a bunch of friends. I like the Polo matches. Wish I could go more.
