Glenview Golf Shop Closure

It seems like the Glenview Golf Shop has been closed for about two weeks. The course now has people checking you in at the Starter Shacks. Does anyone know what is going on here?

It has been emptied completely.

Staff alludes to a water leak but are not all that forthcoming.

Watch out if they start selling everything at 50% off, that happened at Hacienda Hills a couple weeks before it was announced they were tearing everything down.

Since none of the starter shacks have toilets and you can't get into the clubhouse...........PLAN AHEAD.

:ho:

How is it possible, that one of the few legitimate, semi-country clubs in TV has its buildings closed for 2 weeks and no one has a clue, why?

Seems odd to me. Has BigFoot or the LochNess Monster been sighted on property?

Played there two weeks ago and was told by the starter they had a water leak in the ceiling and it caused some major damage. By the way the course was in great shape however my golf game was not.

Did the District take over the management of all the courses October 1st ?

Championship Courses don't have much to do with "the District". They are privately owned.

Long term water leak probably from Air Conditioning condensate, which allowed mold to grow. Pro shop to be gutted and rebuilt. Probably looking at first of new year,

Finally a legitimate update. Thank you.

It must have a been a long running leak. Gutting the entire pro shop seems like a drastic solution.

If there is mold a total gut may be needed. Black mold is dangerous for humans. For most, there will be sneezing and wheezing but for those with an autoimmune disease it can lead to severe complications. In rare cases, it can be fatal. Elderly populations could be at high risk.
