Seco Announcement
Got this email from Seco today. At least some good news.
“Dear SECO Energy member, Hot Bucks are Back! SECO Energy CEO Curtis Wynn announced a significant reduction to monthly energy bills that will appear on members’ bills arriving in October. The adjustment, known formally as the PCA (Power Cost Adjustment), and returning under the “Hot Bucks” label, will result in average bills totaling their lowest cost in the last five years. Read the full news release in our online Newsroom. Sincerely, SECO Energy” |
Actually believe they announced this last month but it is good news

Has anyone compared this announcement to their actual bills?
My cost for 1,000 kWh has been: - $107 for power used in Sept. 2022 - $112 for power beginning in Oct 2022 - And is still $112 for power used in Sept. 2023 I don't see where my cost was ever increased to $146 or even $116 and I don't see any decrease beginning with my October bill for power used in September. Am I flying under the radar somehow or does this announcement not apply to us? I do see where my customer charge increased by 15% starting in May. |
Got the text Wednesday. Better than nothing
