Where to purchase and what type of grill do you think is best?

We are new to the Villages and did not have room to bring our grill down with us. We are looking for a nice grill, around $500 price range. Other than Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart what other places carry a good selection of grills. Also, what grill do you think would be the best bang for the buck?

spend the money and go for a Weber, had my first one for 10 years, still worked and we donated to a church. Purchased a larger Weber last year and am extremely satisfied. Moon's appliances on county road # 466 sells them also.:pepper2:

Buy a Weber!

We bought our Weber at Moon's on 466 and it is a upgrade from what Lowe's, Walmart, and Home Depot sell. So far very happy and this is our second Weber.

Weber, at Ace Hardware

None are like a Weber, and they're made in the U.S. Ace Hardware on 466 has them and they deliver.

about 15 years ago I got tired of buying a new grill every 3-4 years because they kept falling apart. Went out and bought a weber and still have it. Best grill I have ever owned.:eclipsee_gold_cup:

Weber!!!

We have both gas Weber (silver series I think) and the original charcoal "kettle" Weber - we love them both. The gas Weber becomes a smoker/oven for fabulous roasted whole chicken and pork shoulders and the charcoal grill gives burgers that great charcoal taste - we use the Weber chimney for easy charcoal lighting - no lighter fluid for us!!! All in all, Weber has great products - you won't be sorry! Good Luck!

Weber ProFormer

We have a Weber ProFormer. It is a charcoal grill that has a propane starter.
Just push the gas starter button, flame starts, leave on at half flame for ten minutes, and the charcoal is lit and almost ready to use in another 10 minutes.

Thank you! It will be a Weber!!

When we moved to The Villages we went from a huge BBQ to a small one. We bought the Weber BabyQ with the the optional cast iron skillet. We use the small disposable gas containers which will last about 10 meals so we no longer need to have a big gas tank on the lanai. We use it far more than we ever used the big BBQ primarily because it heats up so fast - no more than 5 minutes to have the cast iron grill ready to sizzle. It's plenty big enough to cook steaks for 4. Last night we did lamb chops on the front of the grill with roast potatoes and other veggies on the skillet at the same time. Then carried the whole lot still sizzling on the skillet into the kitchen with its special carrying handles which also act as a stand to hold the skillet off the counter. Worth a look - awesome little machine.

Another vote for Weber. I also recommend buying Weber's Big Book of Grilling. Great grilling tips and recipes.

We bought our first weber for our current home last year and after using it this past summer, it will be the only grill we will purchase for our TV home. Another important consideration in shopping for any grille is parts availability and you'll never have a problem finding weber OEM parts. Good luck and happy grilling!

Another vote for a Weber, I have the performer because I prefer the flavor of charcoal grilling and the propane starter makes it a breeze to use.

Have seen some great "gently used" grills advertised in the newspaper or here - we picked up a Weber - perfect! Saved a bundle.......
