Have you noticed.....

As some of you know, when I am investigating something, I'm rather thorough. Lately, However, when I ask questions online(not on TOTV), I find my questions are blocked. Am I paranoid? It seems the powers that be do not want to have my question out there? Does anyone else have this problem or do i just have too much time on my hands and my OCD is taking over.....? I feel trapped by this and find the internet isn't all that helpful, just a lot of junk products and everyone is covering up how junky they are? Thoughts? Maybe i just don't know how to google things? I try different wording for exactly what i am looking for......Im wondering if this is related to Net Neutrality...

Hmmm…ask your question here?

Or perhaps to a therapist

I research stuff all the time, even occasionally use Bing Chat, and have never had a question blocked, so I am guessing it may be the subject matter that you are searching for, or the site thinks you are underage, or something similar.

Online could depend on whose line you are on.

Stu from NYC 10-27-2023 01:36 PM

Who is doing this and what type of questions are being asked?

Velvet 10-27-2023 02:47 PM

I would think it depends on your question, just for example, ask something political and watch your post blocked faster than a bullet…

Specifically, it's Reddit.

It's on Reddit and involves the specific materials used in an item for sale.

I know the feeling of being blocked...I just got out of TOTV jail today...........but "I'm BAaaaaccccckkk"

Have never had a question or answered blocked by google, and don’t know anyone who has - and some of the questions have been off the wall. Kinda doubt “the powers that be” as you refer to them are singling you out.

Oh, I don't think they're singling me out. I'm saying if you ask indepth questions about certain products, Reddit is concerned about advertisers and won't let the question post except to the community mods. Not just my questions but anyone's, if you ask the wrong question.

Each Reddit sub has independent moderators. They decide what they will allow (& each sub is different). Perhaps look for info on the sub from the moderators. If you are lucky they will spell out what they allow & what gets blocked (many do detail what the sub's purpose it & the rules).

Good luck.

Not enough information here to answer your question without more context from you.

Reddit has over 3 million groups (subreddits) and each group has its own set of moderators. Each of those 3+ million groups have their own posting policies. Many Reddit groups freeze you out as a first-time poster until a moderator can get around to reviewing your first post. There can be a delay between the time you first post and the time your post is visible—-especially for very active groups with hundreds or thousands of daily posts. Some Reddit groups have a ‘bot’ to do some of this work and who knows how they work.

Can you give us some example posts verbatim, the related names of the Reddit groups, and whether you are a first-time poster to each of those groups? In giving more context you will get better feedback to what you seem to want from TOTV.
