Cruise Advice [roll call]

I just read in a CruiseCritic forum that a very large group of Village residents are taking the same cruise that I am [Cruisline-MSC, Ship Name- Seaside, Port Canaveral, 11/12-11/19 2023.] Does anyone have a clever idea how I might be able to contact anyone going on that trip? thank-you Tom

I would assume check a list of villages social clubs and their websites to see who may be going and of course it could be a neighborhood group going. Just an idea.

:censored: Maybe consider...... The Color-Coded Loofah System. Taped to your cabin door? Just a bad joke folks, please don't go crazy.

Go to the MSC page on FB. That’s where cruisers meet up.

Post on cc that you live in the villages and would like to meet other villagers.

Look to see if there is a fb page for cruise and do the same.

Usually these cruise "roll calls" have both the Cruise Critic page and a FB page created to go with it. Just do a search on FB for your cruise ship name and the departure date to find the group.

If you don't have one, create a log in for cruise critic. Then go to the roll call for your cruise. I suspect you have done this and saw a posting by

Not a very busy place. We're with a big group out of The Villages. Hope MSC turns out better than the reviews
.

You can do one of two easy things. You can add your own comment right there on the roll call saying you are from The Villages and ask that Bilyclub contact you and maybe leave an email. I would create a new email just for this cruise to use for that contact. Or wait for Bilyclub to reply on cruisecritic.

Or you can click on Bilyclub's name and you will get an option to message him directly. I don't know how well that works. There already are two others who have posted who live here.

Sorry, you do not have permission for that!

Ignore that it says sorry.... the link works if you are logged into cruisecritic

You will meet them after cruise at the urgent care. Everybody I know that goes on cruise comes home sick 🤢.

Facebook and search Seaside 11/12 and if there’s a page, it’ll come up.

I went on 14 cruises in 2022 and got sick once, in Norway, on a 14 day cruise during winter. “Everybody” should wash their hands more often. :icon_hungry: If 12 people are walking into the buffet, which I avoid for this very reason, maybe one of them will use hand sanitizer or wash in the sinks.

We're on that cruise and have been getting our info on FB.

Stu, it’s easier to get sick jammed in the Perkins Restaurant

JSR22 10-28-2023 07:44 AM

Girlfriends of The Villages has 70 women plus a dozen spouses on the cruise.

Try FB - many cruise people start cruise pages with the ship name and date
