Deep Sea Fishing Charters
 

Has anyone gone fishing on the Gulf and what charter service do you recommend? Would like something not too far but a good charter?

Tarpon Springs Miss Virginia, Gulf Star both near and way off shore, Clearwater marinia, Queen fleet and double Eagle. Had good luck with all. Gag Grouper is out of season now.

Check on the length of time you will actually be fishing. We tried this once, 2 hour bus ride, 30 minutes waiting to get on the boat, 2 hours to the fishing spot, 2 hours fishing, then 2 hours back to shore, some dinner, and 2 hour bus ride back to TV. I do not remember the company that made the arrangements, but it was a very disappointing experience.

Captain James Kerr. He is based in Crystal River. You won’t meet a friendlier, more professional captain. I’ve used him half a dozen times, and have always been more than happy. He does 1/2 and full day trips

Just went on a charter this Monday, 11/6, with Capt. Mark Reeves who operates out of Crystal River as Cast & Reel charters. We had a great time with a knowledgeable captain who worked hard to make the experience enjoyable. We had such a good time that we have already booked with him again for a trip in December when my son will be visiting.
