They issued a statement on this site, something along the line of the AD free version was $6.99/yr but the ad supported version was still free?? Take a look under the section for this specific item.

If you paid one time for a lifetime subscription email them and they will give you a code to input that will restore your lifetime membership.

Use Google Maps application. After directions are provided change the driving mode to bicycle. The bicycle mode will use the golf cart paths. Much better than the Villages app and it is free.

Bike Mode will direct you into the streets where you are not allow to go.......ie: 466a.

I agree, bicycle mode is very dangerous in Google maps, especially if you are NOT familiar with the area. I tried it a couple of times, never again.

That's what I use. My phone automatically showed all the golf cart paths and I've had great success using maps.

Ugh, the new update broke the app and made it a mess.

Had to resort to the free TV one which is good but the graphics are horrible.

The update is working just fine for me and apparently most other people.

I'm not going to speak for most other people but it has some bugs that need to be worked out on my device. I'm happy it's working for you.

The free one is actually better with directions overall. Glad I got in before the per-month subscription and have the lifetime subscription.
