Looking for a one week rental for my family

Hello. Our son, his wife and their two boys will be visiting from Dec. 27 to January 4. Since one of our grandsons is terribly allergic to cats, and we have one, they can't stay with us. So, we are looking for a home in or close to Marsh Bend to rent. Please let us know if you have one or know of someone who does. Thank you.

I never had an investment property but I lived on a street with many. I think you may be looking too late. Most homes have been rented out for the season. You can look at the website Villagers homes 4 rent. This site lists over 1000 rental homes in the Villages. You may find a home that is still available. Good Luck! Merry Christmas!

Bad time to be looking for a limited period in peak season.
I would suggest a hotel, but holiday time may even find that difficult.
How about putting cat in Cattery for a week or so?

One week … AirBNb

There are several hotels in the area that may have reservations for that time period. Good luck with your search.

Which is why Airbnb is growing.....there are needs.

Ah, there is the rub (Hamlet) … whose needs?

Might be cheaper (this time of year) to utilize a hotel. Maybe one that's a suite. End of Nov. for a Dec. rental is cutting it pretty close and maybe too late....plus the premium rental fees this time of year.

Won’t you and spouse have cat dander on your clothes; and irritate your grandson when you are together? So your grandson won’t have the best experience being near grandparents?
Is the cat really worth it?

Over the past two years rentals have exploded in the Villages. Seems as though everyone has put their home up for rental. You should not have any problem finding a home. Out of curiosity I put the dates of December 15th to Jan 1st, on one rental site alone, there were 547 available rentals.

You must not be an animal lover. Any pet gives more pleasure than you could know

I actually have 3 dogs, had multiple dogs for 30 years.

So pets provide more pleasure than grandkids?

Yes, pets are all the time, grandkids for a few days.
