Funny gifts you gave or received

Our family drew names and I had the joy of giving a gift to a family member that is not a big fan of animals....I went to CDracker Barrel and got one of those ferrets? that are battery operated, put it in a box with many holes and periodically during the gift openings would kick the side of the box and tell
"it" to hush....He will never forgive us for that gift....giggle..

I received a Snuggie last year...this year I gave a Snuggie -made for a dog of all things- to my son's tea cup YorkiePoo. Same color, looks funny as heck!

One of my friends was going through 'a reversal of happiness'. I wanted to cheer her up at Christmas, but was on a tight budget. I went to a friend's antique store and immediately spotted the ugliest vase ever created. In fact, it blinded me!
It was big, urn-shaped, acid orange, and covered with huge, obnoxious, hand painted leopard spots. Perfect condition and had a tag from the fanciest store in town.
It made me laugh so hard I almost wet myself... especially when my 'antique' friend pleaded with me to get it out of his store!
Well, I bought it for 5 bucks, wrapped it up elegantly and included a silly note:
"When things are bad and getting worse, keep this thingy in your purse!"

It was a big hit. My friend displayed it proudly as a reminder that she was loved. Since then I'm told, that vase and note have been wrapped and gifted again and again to other women when they needed it. Pretty cool.(And God-awful ugly!)

For a $35 grab gift.

I called it PREVENTION/TREATMENT/CURE

it was: a scarf / neck massage collar from Brookstone / bottle of aspirin
