Where to buy crumpets?

No, I'm not from the UK. I could usually find them "up North" and I even used to find crumpets in Southwest Florida at some grocery stores but haven't noticed them anywhere around the Villages. I checked the websites for places like Publix and Walmart but they don't seem to stock them.

You can order them on Amazon.

Trader Joe’s carry crumpets (haven’t bought them) and some of the best scones I have ever eaten

Crumpets are a Christmas tradition for me. I ordered them last year on Amazon and the package was bulging when it came. I've asked my daughter to bring some from the frozen north, but I'll give Trader Joe's a shot too.

I know Google is a well diversified company, but I've never heard of them jumping into the baked goods business.

I bought crumpets at the Spanish Springs Publix in the frozen section a few years ago. Try calling Sharrock's Crumpets in Mass. (508) 997-5710. I think they make them for other companies. You may also try asking a local Publix manager if he can order them. Every time I visit the kids up north, I bring a carry on full back

What the heck is a "crumpet"? (I'm guessing some sort of British pastry made with a lamb's stomach or cod fish, right?)
