Rarely see national anthems
 

Am I only one notice national anthems not shown at sporting events? At least ones I watch?

Which ones do you watch?

I would prefer that they don't show it. Potentially creates controversy and adds nothing to the game.

Lots of times the announcers are yapping or commercials are on. That air time costs money. Don't forget the rundown of all the other sports you decided not to watch. Gotta cover that too.

It’s happening in most sports I watch now and like others said it’s the potential more paid commercial time for the networks per se. I asked the grandkids this week if they still do the pledge of allegiance at the start of the school day. Changing times.

Rarely see them before NFL games of late.

I record all sporting events I’m interested in watching and fast forward everything except the playing of the actual event. I think the last time I saw the national anthem being played at a sporting event I was there watching it live.

Depends. I've attended many rodeos. They all play the national anthem before the festivities start. At the ones I've seen at the excel Center in St. Paul, MN (Home of the Minnesota Wild), they play the National Anthem, present the colors with much pageantry, AND have an invocation beforehand.

Love it.

I’ve been to several BB and FB games this year and it’s played. Very rarely watch the start of any game on television so I don’t care.
How many would stand in their homes if it was played?
I don’t think it’s ever played daily at the start of golf tournaments.

Just tune in to a Chicago Blackhawks home game. One of the best in the league and always pays honor to our veterans.

Super Bowl, Don't forget the National anthem at the Super Bowl, seems like it last for hours
along with all the other all day BS.

They stopped broadcasting the national anthem, because of all the players taking their knees.
The viewing was at an all time low during and that crap, so they started with players had to stay in the lockers during the anthem, to not broadcasting the anthem to get viewers back.
It is beyond sad

The National Anthem offends the sensitive type and you know how our country is run based on minority sensitivity. If it offends, it must end.
