Furniture repair help

I have a Flexsteel powered recliner loveseat with broken DualFlex spring. This spring has a lifetime limited warranty through Flexsteel. The problem is none of local authorized dealers want to order or help me repair the damaged spring.
I found 2 names on Talk of The Villages who had help with local repair people, but no luck with contacting either one.
Anyone have recent repair work done on recliner who might help me out?
Thanks in advance.

Have you called Babettes? They are supposed to handle Flexsteel warranty work. Also, they have a very experienced guy who makes in-home repairs.

You can also try sending a letter to:

Flexsteel Industries, Inc.
PO Box 877
Dubuque, IA 52004-0877

I have called them. Unfortunately we didn’t buy the recliner there, and they won’t service sales from other stores.

If they still have the guy who fixes furniture, they may send him to your house to fix it and charge you. I did that once and they were very reasonable. I don't remember the guy's name, but he can fix anything.

Another option is to buy the springs on Amazon. Here is one I found. Not hard to install. Good luck.

If you can get the part, I can probably help you, I have repaired several recliners of the years. Send me a PM to get together.

Mills Furniture Repair

You can try Jeremy Mills at Mills Furniture Repair 810-955-4657 (millsfurniturerepair@yahoo.com). He did some damage repair on a table we have.

We just had my husband's power recliner repaired by Eric, the owner of Octosquad 678.410.4905. Eric has over 20 years experience in repairing furniture. Very knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend him.

I had a similar issue and DID buy a chair at Babettes. But, I also had a chair that needed fixing. Found a guy in Orlando who could fix it. Don’t know if he fixes Flexsteel, but call Alexander at 908-220-0649. (NJ phone no) good luck.

Randy Schuster (Redone by Randy), Flexsteel authorized repairs, cell 407/491-6583, 407/905-5074, in Winter Garden. We used him to repair our Flexsteel recliners a few years ago and did a GREAT job.

If it was me and you are able and have common skills? I would measure the old spring length, diameter, and spring steel thickness. Got to ace or Lowe’s find matching spring and install it. IMO life time limited warranty means you’re going to pay out the wazoo? You can also Utube it for videos if you need them?
