Pelosi/Obama/Reid congress/senate set historical record debt.

Read the article for perspective and measure of this outgoing congress. Then listen to the video as Nancy's acceptance speech and her vision for what she calls the new America:

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/...debt-first-100

Classic political BS exemplifying that the speeches they give are for the effect of the moment, with no follow up/substance/reality. Seems to be the hallmark of this outgoings congress' legacy for their 4 years. And ditto for Obama's 2 years.

I must have missed the part describing how much better off we all are as a result of the new record debt.

It is not a partisan issue!!!! The dems who I know who are side by side with the rest of us we the peoples are in the same boat....with one major difference they can look in the mirror and see who sent these record stters to office!!

And is this any different from their predecessors?

Make no mistake - this isn't a "blame Bush" post. It's a "pox on both their houses" post.

I liken it to a married couple arguing in the car over who didn't take out the trash back home while the car plunges over a cliff.

Some how on an ISSUE that affects us all, a comparison to

another, alleged, wrong, adds no value to the real, current circumstance (another wrong does not equal right or OK). Perhaps the difference is, will be, we the people are beginning to stand and be counted....regardless the party affiliation.

Nobody previous administration has come close to the debt added to our deficit than the current administration and I take issue with "they all did it" arguments.

If some guy put a bag of dog poop on your front step, and then someone else dumped a few tons of dog poop on your step; would you say, "Hey, that's happened before".

Give it to George Weasel since he had a surplus going into his term of office and created such a deep hole while in office. Yes, Blame Bush. Just for the general principle of it - George Weasel is the sneering weasel who created this huge deficit.

Don't bother writing a feeble rebuttal - I am not reading anymore on this topic.

Stereotype for a reason.

Why is it Liberals always seem the need to use childish adjectives?

It just ruins any legit thought process, or factual debate.

This is Tbugs new strategy. The "Drive-By Comment". He comes on and posts an absurd comment and then says he won't read the thread again.

I know I won't upset him by this post since he said he won't read it. I just would have liked to know what part of his nonsensical post he thought warranted a rebuttal.

He will read it in lurk mode.

It is always safer on the side lines of any encounter.

My point is that the GOP spent like drunken sailors running up a bigger debt than ever. Then the Democrats came in and made them look like amateurs. Point me to ANY party with a comprehensive PLAN for dealing with this instead of "same old, same old".

You can't. Personally I find this exceedingly frustrating.

Thanks for the clarification. Now I can agree with you. There's a big difference in someone who may kill one person, and someone who exterminates an entire people. It's all murder, but degree does matter.

The Democrats have raised debt accumulation to a new art form. No prior administration compares to it, in reality.

I find this post pretty funny....:a20: Maybe you missed some of the names and adjectives the more enlightened conservatives have used in this forum.

So thanks to you I am off to a pretty good day......
