Wildlife at night in small garden pond .

Anybody else with a small pond having a problem with possibly raccoons or maybe coyotes defecating in the pond at night ? Motion lights have no effect, this has happened five times now over several months.

They use to live where houses are build, they got displaced but still have to survive. Nope you don’t have fish in that barrel? Something attracting them?

Netting should solve the problem.
Lots of animals roam TV at night, including wildlife.
Cougars are spotted regularly around village squares.

Set up a Trail Camera and see what it is. Have you upset a neighbor ???

My wife spotted a rat running across the road one day.
I set up a rat trap and caught 3 in two weeks.
There's more going on out there than we realize.

LOL! They should be darted, tagged and released back into the wild.

Might even be a Blue Heron, they do feed at night. So be careful with netting.

The main reason to net ponds is to stop birds etc. from getting in them, especially if you keep fish.

We used to have ducks swimming in our pond, and they left surprises for us. Actually, once they left an egg!

OP is probably not looking for help with bird poop.

They will get into them…..ever try getting them out?

Be kind to Mother Nature and her children as they don’t know any better.
