Google Maps updates for new roads

I am building a new home in Moultrie Creek and I see that Google maps does not show any of new roads in this area. How often does Google maps update for new roads in The Villages?

Try this to update Google Maps.

Google owns Waze so that's strange.

Waze is always one of the first to get new roads. There is even a feature in Waze that allows you to add roads and addresses. When our villas were first built, none of our roads were on any maps. I added all of our roads and several of our addresses here so we could get deliveries.

Might be up to two years.

Use The Villages map app.
It's great and it's free.
(don't use the other map service.....it always has issues)

If you are giving guests directions.......have them use the app or go the old fashion route, give directions.

Or you could drop pin your location?

I can see the streets in Apple maps and Waze,
Waze advises Leesburg.

You can see streets in the Moultrie Creek area over near the new charter school? And Waze advises Leesburg even though Moultrie Creek is in a different county and the charter school near it has a Wildwood address?

WAZE is always ahead of Google Maps. You can actually go into WAZE and edit maps. They then verify it and publish it.

Looks like that's the only option for now?

I live in DeLuna where we had the same issue in early 2022 when we had just moved in. Our street was hard to find by delivery companies since most of our neighborhood wasn't on Google Maps. We ended up going into Google Maps on web and added our streets manually and Google accepted them within a week or even a couple days in some cases. Eventually ourselves and a few others added all of the streets within a month or two. I'll attach a link where you can do this.
