I signed up in November 2023, and paid the $6.99 for annual Village GPS subscription. Today February 13, it wants me sign up again and pay another $6.99. Does anyone else have same issue?

Village GPS responded with a quick solution to the above. Quite impressed. Thank you.

There was an issue & it was resolved. I don't remember the details, but if you search this forum you might be able to find the discussions. I think you might just ignore the message & try to see if the app works. I think it likely it will work. (Don't re-sign up & don't re-pay, just try to use the app).

I have the same issue!
 

Purchased new phone, transferred the Villages GPS app over to the new phone, now it will not allow me to use the app unless I repay the $6.99 fee again.
Sent several emails today, no reply. Hopefully someone on the app team sees this post. Not happy right now with the service I am receiving!

Golf Car Paths need updated,.they have fallen behind the free Villages app.

Unfortunately, it’s impossible for us to be as up-to-date as the free app, which was made years after ours because that is “The Developer's” app. They actually build all of the new multi-modal paths, roads, and houses.

For those of you who don't know, we aren’t affiliated with "The Developer." We are just a couple of Villagers who have to wait for "The Developer" to release that new data to the public GIS.

We ask very often for the latest data every other week, but usually, it can take up to a month or so before they release that information.

We upload many things behind the scenes, so you don’t have to do any updates for those new multi-modal paths.

As soon as any new data is released, we add it as quickly as possible.

We share your frustration with this delay and hope everyone understands we are and will always be waiting.

Google Map in walking mode does a good job and you can download the map at home if you don't want to use online data. However the estimated time will be too long. You can put Google Map in bicycle mode for a better time estimate but check the route beforehand as bicycles are legel on many roads. After one or two trips, you should know the route. Of course, new areas will have issues but I expect no matter what you use, new areas of TV has map issues.
