Nice photo. More like you share a backyard with the alligators. They are cute at that age. Take it from someone who has spent nearly a lifetime around alligators, they will be a nuisance as they age and eventually a potential threat to small mammals and even small persons. It's not their fault. They typically do not like being around us but over time they can grow accustomed to humans and even curious. That is not a good thing because they are not pets. They are beautiful, but wild animals.

This is why when I was looking to buy I only considered houses a good distance from water. I like to look at the gators, but from a respectable distance.
