I like those commercials, but I don't understand how Allstate would handle a collision or comprehensive claim differently from other insurance companies. I also don't understand the Liberty Mutual ads, which are just plain stupid.

Hilarious. It sure brings to mind those times a gate is stuck open and I wonder if it is waiting to guillotine me as I pass through. Haven't seen it yet, but will be watching for it.

Gate heading from Morse onto Hillsborough. Slowed to flash card but saw gate was open. Approached slowly to make sure it stayed open - came down when I was within two feet. Fortunately, brakes worked well. Lucky.

Don't know why it was stuck open and don't know why it decided to close when it did but I'm a bit less trusting now.

The actor's name is Dean Winters, he was on an HBO raw prison show called OZ.
If you're into that there were a lot of outstanding actors that moved on to staring on their own shows and one that won an academy award.

I love the mayhem commercials! They are great marketing. Just think of all the free advertising Allstate is getting now. The one with the furniture flying out of the pick up truck really happened to us. We were traveling down highway behind someone moving. As we moved over to pass them we actually said that is mayhem about to happen. Just as we past the couch flew off. Luckily the semi behind it was able to stop and not cause major pile up. I’ll bet the commercials come from actual claims.

Dean Winters is an actor/stunt man that has appeared in many shows/movies, including multiple episodes of Terminator Series and Brooklyn Nine Nine. He died in about 2008, but was resuscitated. Now he is Mayhem.

I’ve often thought the same things. I have never had a problem with the gate getting into my development, it’s the exit gate. I’ve had days when it goes up and then quickly closes forcing me to jam in the brakes. Good post and you made me laugh.

Most of the gate problems in The Villages are caused by the driver!
