The impacts are felt with insurance validation, payments to hospitals, particularly pharmacies.

There are fringe reports (not corroborated but reported by Drs) of ERs asking for $1500 prior to emergency treatment, in violation of EMTALA, possibly in order to get working capital cash when possible.

UHC to hospital emails are hoping for a quick resolution but don't count on it.
