This is a very well written, acted, costumed and directed television series.

I had seen the much older TV series and read the book as well.

LOVED that Clavell book, and ALL of his others. Nobel House and Tai Pan especially. Also liked the original mini-series with Richard Chamberlain very much. I miss ALL those wonderful mini-series; Rich Man Poor Man, Winds of War, on and on, wish making of those giant epic novels into mini-series would come back !

The original miniseries was iconic.

Early reviews of this new version are extremely favorable, both from critics and fans. Can't wait to watch it.
