Aldi plans to open 800 new locations in the next five years

Let's hope that one of them is the "new section."

It's a tossup between Aldi & Trader Joe's in which company has the most food items recalled. Low prices and a free dose of salmonella; what a deal! No thanks!

If true it should be easy for you to provide links.

Seems Whole Foods are one of the top offenders!

Not buying what YOU'RE selling. Proof?

Aldi wins again for cheapest prices..
America's most affordable grocery stores in 2024, ranked

I've been a frequent Trader Joe's shopper for decades & am still here to tell the tale (& salmonella free).

Salmonella

Publix foods has given us salmonella on occasion. Watch out for their produce. I can’t tell you how many times we have bought there only to discover later the food item was close to expiration or expired. We try to check all the time, but things just slip through. I’m sure it may have happened at ALDIs as well as other stores too.

We look forward to the new ALDIs at Sumter Landing.

I hope one of the 'significant number' of Winn-Dixie's becoming Aldis will be the one in Pinellas Plaza. That was the 'new section', not long ago & is golf cart accessible.

Don't know why they would turn that WD in an Aldis when there is an existing Aldis practically across the street.

In the main, the Aldi deriders are usually Publix (in UK. Waitrose) snobs, who think paying more for the same item is a rise in their social standing.
We have used Aldi for years without a problem, and are a lot wealthier for it.
Their Customer services, if needed, are second to none.
We only use other supermarkets to top up with any line Aldi do not carry.
So there!:girlneener:

Also much bigger than typical Aldi's stores.

Correct. I agree with what you said. The small, unaccessible Aldis on 466A will have to close.
