pop-up sports video
 

On a popular Villages digital news outlet (I'm not sure I can use the name), I constantly get a pop-up window with sports news, mostly baseball. There are no ads in it, just short clips of games and interviews.I can close it, but it comes back as soon as I change the page.
I added the site to my block ads in settings. Didn't help. I have left messages on the website's contact email, but they don't respond.
Does anyone know how to stop this pop up?
