VCDD e-Notification: Precautionary Boil Water Notices - Little Sumter Service Area
 

Just received this notice:

Precautionary Boil Water Notice For the following Villages: Belle Meade, Calumet Grove, Chatham, Briar Meadow, Springdale, Woodbury & Piedmont.
This break will affect over 500 homes.

A Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued in the Little Sumter Service Area (LSSA) due to a 16” water
main break for the above referenced addresses.

Therefore as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, cooking, and washing dishes be boiled.
A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. For all other household uses the water is acceptable.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological test shows that the water is safe.

Thanks. I got the telephone call from the Emergency Coordinators (?). I then went to www.districtgov.org and signed up the the e-notifications.

The Springdale/Piedmont circle is a mess right now. Try to avoid it if possible.
