Walnut Grove Course

Played Walnut Grove Course Friday.
The course was opened in 2001.
The greens were in some of the best conditions of the courses in T.V.
If opened in 2001, why are they still in such good condition???
Would like answers from T.V. golf course management.

Those greens have been replaced numerous times since 2001. Were just replaced last year. Based on what I've seen, The Villages finds it much easier to spend our money to put new greens in regularly than to maintain them properly. Green replacement appears to run on a schedule. Instead of addressing the courses in the worst shape, if course XYZ is due, the replace the greens - even if they greens are currently fine. Makes no sense to me.

Walnut Grove and Briarwood over the twenty years wife and I wintered in TV were always in good nick. Loved those two courses.

One of my favorites. Bet there are a lot of people who will not play there since it is good trek from the newer areas.

Was surprised that these greens were replaced recently since they were in much better shape than a lot of others in TV. Authority of the districts seems to be a cluster (you know what).
