Kin insurance

If you have Kin, have you experienced good service? I have a friend who is getting screwed over by them. She has secured an attorney as it is 2.5 YEARS that they delay and ignore her. She is not savvy and has two CHILDREN living on a house that is now uninhabitable; by insurance definition. KIN is NOT helping at all
I’m filing complaints to the FL insurance division and contacting MEDIA for their help here. This is a single mother who works 50 hours a week. Her heat bills went up 300% over the winter due to exposure.
It boggles the mind.
Forewarned is forearmed.
Consider CHANGING companies. AAA is mine and no issues thus far. They are very responsive.

Not enough information.

Second that ! Definitely not enough information, the entire description of the "situation" is really vague ? Can't tell if the single mother owns and lives in the house, and "something" happened that prompted a claim (like a storm, hurricane, etc. ? ) and Kin never "responded" ? Does that mean REFUSED a legitimate claim ? And, I thought Kin was a brokerage, not an insurance company, but not sure about that. Only thing I ever heard was it's a broker and they find you the lowest possible premium, then "make up" for it the next, or 3rd year by HUGE premium increases, which, is true of most companies. But this situation is so vague, not sure what the person is asking for opinions about ?

And Kin is responsible for her heating bills going up?
If you're going to bash a company, don't just throw out generalizations (throwing in the single mother thing for sympathy), without telling us EXACTLY what happened.

I have Kin but I haven't had any claims and it's my first year. I have nothing to give feedback on. All I can say is that when I posted about them before I heard many horror stories about them raising the rates an incredible amount upon the second year. I will see in September. They were way cheaper than the Villages insurance for the flood coverage we needed.

Do not have Kin and therefore no experience with them. I was in the insurance adjusting business. They are a newer(like most other) Florida companies and the track record is not out there. You mentioned that she had an attorney. Was her claim denied or is she claiming that she was not paid enough. This should have been resolved by now. On cases where damages are disputed, no attorney needed and should have taken no more than 3-4 months. Saw news that there will be new(er) companies coming to Florida. Do not be fooled. They are more of the same(Junk)

AAA is an agent. Who is the actual insurance company?
