How do you stream WVLG on Amazon Echo or Google device?
 

‘Sure would be nice and convenient to listen to WVLG by saying something like “Hey Google, play WVLG radio” or “Alexa, play WVLG radio.” If anyone can successfully stream and listen to WVLG radio through either of these smart audio devices, can you please inform me of how you do so? Thanks in advance!

I tried, both Google and Alexa.... no luck

Download The Villages App (smart phone device) open scroll to WVLG RADIO listen to live.
It would only be available is added as a specific app on Google or Amazon

You have to add the radio station as a skill to Alexa. Once done, you can then request Alexa to play the WVLG radio station. It works for me.

Also available on the app Simple Radio
They also carry thousands of other (much better) stations, of any format you can imagine.

An even cooler trick would be to get your smart device to turn the volume off every time they say “its a perfect day to tour an open house”, play an advertisement featuring the women with the whiny voice from Davis Family Hearing, or play disco.

Easier trick…..:just don’t tune in the station……if it bothers you.

Never do, except occasionally on the hour to hear the news. However, I use the sports pools almost daily, where the station is piped in and can’t be avoided.

That worked! I had pretty much gave up on Alexa playing WVLG. I use the app but this is much easier when in the house. Thanks OP for posing the question.

Connect Bluetooth to your Alexa on your phone. Download WVLG app on your phone. You can listen on Alexa very easy process

For Alexa, try saying this: "ALEXA... YOUR... VILLAGES... SOUNDTRACK." (Pause slightly between each word.)

Why waste your time? WVLG is terrible!

What is the skill called? We tried tunemyradio and it would list the station but wont play it...Can't find an wvlg app either...

The easiest way is to install IHeart radio you can add radio stations from across the country on. I use it to listen to a talk show in RI and also a couple of stations in the Boston Market for sports talk
