I do not understand your question, but if this is one of these install solar panels and you get greatly reduced utility bills, be very careful, especially if there is a very low or no upfront costs. There have been reports of companies doing this and forcing the buyer into a 25 year (or more) contract with a lien on the house, adn you do NOT own the solar panels, you cannot remove them you have to pay additional costs if the roof needs to replaced, etc.

IMHO, get a complete copy of the contract and read it very carefully, or have a lawyer look it over, do not sign anything until the EXACT contract you are going to sign is reviewed, and then sign ONLY the copy reviewed.

Also, contact the BBB and Seniors Against Crime, and FL for appropriate business license, etc.

Thank you. They stopped by as “educators” today. After talking with the roofing company, the install isn’t good for the roof, so I don’t think we will move forward.

Very often the payback is longer than our expected life expectancy, not to mention when you need a new roof very expensive to remove and put back the panels

There is no upfront cost. Just the $120 a month and $30 to Duke electric . Vs electric bill

Not sure what the $120 and 30 is, does that mean you are paying $150 a month, and you have solar panels? Doesn’t make sense.
And they are not “educators” they are preying on TV homeowners.

Then look at VT comment above, that means they own the panels, you are probably leasing your roof to them, it makes a change in ownership of your house more complicated - especially if buyer doesn’t want the arrangement.

So your power cost is $150/month. My electric bill is never that high. Last 4 months were $101, $109, $104, $105.

I just paid my electric bill for $78. It sounds like you will be leasing the solar panels, and if you sell the house, the new owner will need to continue with the lease. If so, this is a horrible idea. Even if you own the panels, a lot of buyers will not buy your house. Also, if you replace your roof, it may cost you an extra $5,000 to remove and re-install the panels. If they gave you a payback analysis, check to see if they included the time value of money in the calculation. Most payback calculations include nothing for the time value of money, even though it can account for about half of the cost to buy the panels.
