Less scary than most of the drivers in TV.

I want a driverless golf cart to bring me home from City Fire.

If it keeps them in the right lane on the freeway, driving the exact truck speed limit, and not in the passing lane creeping around another truck at 1 mph faster than the truck they're trying to pass, while traffic backs up for 20 miles behind them, I'm for all it.

It is a scary world we live in.

Fueling:
Yesterday there was a news piece about Sweden experimenting with in-road electrification, something we have had heard of for years. I never thought it was truly feasible believing the major construction that would be needed. But as they showed in the picture it was just embedding a rail into an existing road. Similar to the old trollies except instead of overhead wires it would be part of the road itself. If this comes to pass it would reduce the need of the amount of charging stations for EVs.

Copied from the internet: Sweden is planning to build a first of its kind, permanent electrified highway by 2025 that would enable EVs to charge while on the go. Different electrified road systems have been tested. Among them, one Swedish company thinks its technology is the answer.

Welp they don't fall asleep at the wheel. I wonder if they might clog the fast lane though?

I was told by a very reliable source that driverless vehicles so far have a much lower accident ratio, about 10 to 1, and they have so far been proven to be safer. Hey driverless don't text while driving! Eyes on the road not required. The few no-driver accidents we heard about were in the news. Get ready for more driverless... invest in the stock.

These should be banned with a billion dollar fine for any accident..........absolutely criminal........

Driverless trucks could be programed to drive mostly at night. Arrive at thier destination early in the am. Since there is no driver the truck programed to avoid large cities during hush hour.

They could but for long distances truck can go far in 24 hours of straight driving along interstates

If you happen to get into an accident with a driverless vehicle, how do you get the required insurance info that is required to be exchanged between drivers and reported to police?

I know with the driverless cars if you just put an orange traffic cone on it doesn't know where to go. Imagine something getting splattered on the front of that truck and it going rogue.
