Because tomorrow is Memorial Day.. will there to regular trash pick up.. if your regular trash pick up day is on Monday.. will the day change to Tuesday this week?

It depends on your district. My Village has normal pickup tomorrow. I don't know your Village.

Memorial Day Sanitation Information 2024

If you live in Districts 1 – 11 located in Sumter County, Marion County or Fruitland Park portions of The Villages, there will be normal residential sanitation collection on Monday, May 27, 2024.

If you live in Village Community Development District 12, the Village of DeLuna and Hammock at Fenney, and District 15 there will be no sanitation schedule change due to the holiday.
If you live in Village Community District 13 (excluding Village of DeLuna and Hammock at Fenney) and District 14, there will be no residential sanitation collection on Monday, May 27, 2024. Sanitation collection will be on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
If you live in the Town of Lady portion of The Villages, there will be no residential sanitation collection on Monday, May 27, 2024. Sanitation collection will be on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
If you live in the Lake County portion of The Villages (not including VCDD No. 11 and 14), there will be no sanitation collection on Monday, May 27, 2024. Sanitation collection will be on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. All collection days for the week will be moved to the next day.
If you live in the Middleton Community Development District, there will be no sanitation schedule change due to the holiday.

I live in Silver Lake. Trash pickup usually on Monday will resume on Thursday. People should check before they put out trash for the animals to get into.

If you are in district 12, 13 or higher you have to wait multiple times a year until Thursday or whenever your pickup is next in the week. We should be given discounts for this inconvenience. In the North the trash is still scheduled no matter what.

Exactly. Each calendar year there’s several built-in Monday & Thursday Holidays. Plus Christmas/New Years & 4th of July which can also hit Mon/Thurs. a District 13 discount seems in order to be fair.

I don't think a discount will make up for the inconvenience. I want them (whoever they are) to rotate the schedule so that some other group misses out for awhile. Or they make it up the next day.
