Considering roller shades on bird cage
 

We have a large birdcage with the canvas cover on top. I was thinking of adding some of the Coolaroo crank up outdoor shades to the inside of the screen. Each section of the metal framing is about 67 inches wide. Has anyone used these before and/or any thoughts? Thanks

I have not used these, there have been prior posts that as I recall gave them good reviews. Also, I believe these can be cut to length, and mounting into the aluminum frame will be easy. We have another company as our openings were larger than coolaroos could handle and have a pull chain to open and close.

I have Coolaroo shades installed along an entire 50' side of our cage. I also have a covering, but now have the new vinyl material instead of the canvas. I ordered all of them custom from Coolaroo when they had a season ending sale and they were all 75% off. They typically do this several times a year, and it's usually limited to 2 or 3 color options. I mounted them in between the panels and they work great for cutting down the sun, or stopping rain from coming in when we have folks outside in the cage.
