Pressure Washing
Someone from Floridian Curb Appeal LLC rang my bell just now and quoted on pressure washing the outside of our house.
We have been here over 4 years and no idea if this has been done before. Is this a good idea and if so anyone use these people and happy with the results? Thanks Stu |

I was doing my own, then hired someone, big mistake. I had several electronic devices outside, cameras, electronic door locks, automatic lights, several of which were damaged by the HIGH PRESSURE washing. If you do not have any of these devices, go for it, if you do, be very careful, while these devices (IP65 or IP67 rated) this covers rain and driving rain, NOT 2500 PSI pressure wash. Also, be aware that the person setting up the appointment may or may not pass along any concerns about electronic equipment, and then to make matters worse the actual person doing the work may not care....
On a side note, most of the damage did not show up immediately, so that was no way to actually prove the pressure washing caused the problems, so no compensation. |

Hope to find someone who has used this guy for pressure washing. |

It's easy to damage things with a high power pressure wash. You want to find someone who does a low pressure "soft wash" to prevent damage. The chemicals do the work. Engers and Shine On have done good work for me. |
Btw, water bill increased 4 us about $80

Risks more water getting into the attic eve vents. Take down any cameras before they wash. |

The cleaner can damage plants, they try to rinse then off. But it's a good idea to hose down any plants next to the house after they are done. |

For mold problems I just use the 5 dollar gallon pool concentrate cleaner which has 10% Clorox. Most mod cleaner if brand only have 5 to 7 precent Clorox when read labels. I would think most pressure wash companies have enough experience to not damage house? But, I don’t know I’ve never paid someone to do routine preventative maintenance? Also IMO you should be routinely inspecting the stucco and if find any superficial cracks seal/cover with stucco crack repair and dab area with matching paint. |
