Discontinued floor tiles

1 Attachment(s)
Hi!
I’m looking for 4-6 of these discontinued tiles that I have in my house.
I have an Iris built in 2012. I have seem them in many houses.
If anyone has any in their garage or attic or have just done a renovation and no longer need them would you let me know?
I would love to buy them from you and not have to re-tile the entire living area of my house!
The tiles are 18x18. I am enclosing a picture.
Thank you!

There are several online sites that deal with discontinued tiles, you will need the name of the tile, the specific color and the size. With any luck you will find a source that can send these to you. I was able to find these with an internet search "discontinued floor tiles".

You can look up exactly what tile manufacturer, size and color on TV on this website.

Only thing is, I'm not positive how far back they go with their records.

I know my home (built in 2016/7) is listed...

You need the lot number of your tiles. You may find the discontinued tiles but they may not be a perfect match. Every lot made by the manufacturer will have slightly different coloring.

Can you remove some tiles from a closet, under an appliance, from a laundry room, or some inconspicuous place?

Another option is to hire a tile guy to remove some tiles and create a decorative border or centerpiece design.

Discontinued tiles

Thank you to all that responded!
I found the tile info on the Village’s website.
It is available on one of the discontinued sites.
I do not have the lot number of the tile. It is not on the Village’s site.
I want to have the two tiered counter changed to one rectangle with one level and not sure if there is tile under it.
Don’t want to have it done until I know I can get the tile.
Will let you know how it turns out.
Thanks again!!!

You should be able to carefully remove the small trim piece at the floor and see if the tile goes under the cabinets, our 2013 vintage house has the tile under the cabinets. If you cannot tell by removing this strip, the toe kick board can be removed and then you should actually be able to see the tile. Also, you can remove the lower trim on the dishwasher to see if there is tile under it.

NOTE: you will probably have mounting holes in the tiles so I would figure these would need to be replaced anyway.

I dealt with a Mohawk distributor to buy tile when I tiled my lanai. They were out of California and the prices were 1/2 what they were locally. Once you find the tile info, then shop around. I know there is a warehouse in north Orlando that carries mohawk tile

If it’s in the center of your house the design change might be risky.
We built our house new and carpeted the living area.
Nine months later we knew it was a mistake and decided to take up the carpet and continue the tile. The installers brought out the same tile.
But it was a different run. The colors were way off.
We were fortunate enough to find our tile run sitting in another suppliers warehouse.
And that was only nine months after the original installation.
If much of your new tile will be seen it might be a problem.
For me…I like the two tiered counter. Electrical is available and it hides my kitchen clutter. People sitting at the bar have a defined space…they aren’t sharing it with my sink.
I think the flat look is in vogue because builders can cut costs that way.
Your current design is much more expensive .

I may have some of these

I have some spare tile that look like this picture and am willing to part with them. If interested, email me at DORECKER@yahoo.com and we can get into more detailed info.

Interesting, I looked up my home that was built in 2021 and everything is there except the floor tile?

If it's the original island, chances are the Villages installed tile wall to wall before installing the cabinetry. That was the case in my home.

I checked out my house and saw the same thing. But the bathroom tile was there... Go figure...
