need mason recommendation
 

I have ARC approval to add a brick wainscoting to the front of my house, prepared for sticker shock , but need a list of possible contractors, all recommendations and cautions appreciated.

You can try Doc's from their ad in the paper they my do this type of work. If your house is stucco you may get lucky and be able to simply "glue" these on the stucco, but I would definitely get the manufacturers recommendation on this. If you have siding, yes you will IMHO need a contractor with experience with this type of installation, especially since I would guess the siding would need to be removed where the new brick is going to be installed. I can see lots of possibilities for water leakage.

The house is block/stucco, I intend to use the same pavers as I used for the driveway/entry, the manufacturer just told ne they have seen it done , my thinking it will make the house look longer , lower and have a grew out of the ground aspect. I will have to talk to the contractor/ candidates as to how they would do the install, as ever there is a right way ,wrong way and the best way. I haven't done enough masonry work to want to tackle this myself. Thanks for the reply.

Your approach is interesting, the pavers for driveway (etc.) tend to be relatively heavy, and I would be very concerned about these gradually sliding down on the wall. I was looking at doing something similar and found products at Lowe's specifically designed for this type of application. They were much lighter is weight and as I recall had at least 2 ways to apply to the wall, screws or glue. Never got to do it, wife was not interested.....

I intend to use the thinner "pavers" about 1 1/8, the ones you would not want for a driveway, I have them in my lani and over a concrete patio, they make a masonry cement product for attaching a brick veneer , obviously the paint will have to be wire brushed off, screw / glue sounds problematic
