Apple help
I have an iPad, iPhone and Mac Air that are all so full of stuff not needed. I would like to hire an Apple Geek to come to the house and straighten out my devices.
I have Best Buy Geek squad, but I need more time than just a short appointment. |
You could just do a factory reset and start over.

Take any documents you don't want and trash them ... then empty the trash. Take any photos, music, games, etc. you don't want, move them to the trash and then empty the trash. Move the documents, music and photos you don't often use, to iCloud. iCloud is not foolproof. If you also want hard back up of documents, music, photos, grab a USB memory stick at Staples or somewhere and backup important stuff to the memory stick. Easy peasy, lemon sqeezy. |
Note that ICloud only gives you 5gb of free storage. Google Drive gives you 15gb. If you plan to move data to the cloud, you should determine how much data you have that you want to keep.

Get yourself an external hard drive. Move pictures, documents, and music you may not need right now but will be available for future review. I do this monthly and review at end of year a 1tb drive runs less than $60. With Apple product what you do with iPhone storing notes will also appear on mac and tablet same when you delete its removed on all.

You are paying Best Buy. Take two devices let them clear. Trust me a short appointment with them is more than you need. They can also do it remotely with no issues
|
I second the portable hard drive.

There is help out there though. Barnes & Noble have those "dummy" books, designed especially for seniors; i.e. "iPad for Senior Dummies" on all three. They're pretty straightforward and easy to understand, though spendy. I have all of them and they do help. |

External hard drives do sometimes fail so I advocate multiple modes for files you never want to lose.
