So does anyone know anything about this new social platform? Is this being run by the Villages or Anyone closely associated with the villages? Or is this a new adventure of social media being run by an outsider? I am also wondering if anyone has joined this platform so far can tell me more about it? Thanks ahead of time for your prompt replies.

I saw the original announcement...however, seeing that there is no information about who is actually running this, I decided to pass.

The domain is a godaddy domain, owned by a company called DomainsByProxy, out of Tempe Arizona.

In other words, it's a third party domain. Its registration expires August 15.

I wouldn't trust it, I won't even go to the website. I just did a domain lookup.

None of that means anything, nor do they own the name "Villagesvibes.com". They are the administrative contact for that Domain Name.

DomainsByProxy was started by Bob Parsons (who also started GoDaddy.com). They are one of the premier Domain Name administration companies. Administrators are used by somewhere around 25% of Domain Name owners around the world, to maintain privacy.

Looks like a website for old people.

Looks very vague, with a bunch of meaningless buzzwords used by the Human Resources department of a large corporation run by millennials. If you’re cluelessly looking for empowerment, engagement, and enrichment, whatever the hell that is, give it a go?

Targets the elderly. Gathers your data and your money, then sells your data for more money, so you get lots of SPAM and SCAMS.

Seems sketchy to me. No thanks. If it’s not run by The Villages I’m not so sure how valid or accurate it would be. Plus it looks totally different from what the lifestyle here is currently.

Don’t open stuff you don’t recognize. Period
