I need to move contacts list to new Gmail email account

I have lost my Comcast email address. I have a Gmail account and I would like to transfer my Comcast contacts list to Gmail.

I know how to copy the list, but I cannot work out how to transfer it to Gmail. I have looked at all the videos and read all the various w3ays of doing this, but there must be an easier way.

I know there are some excellent Geeks on TOTV and if you can help me with my problem I would appreciate it. Thanks.

In the desktop/laptop-based (non-mobile) version of Google Contacts I have an Import function that says it will import from a CSV file. Have you tried that?

Not yet. However, after leaving the message above I did a search and, of course, this subject has already been hashed out and I am more than annoyed. I did not get an email from Comcast, but I have been getting mailed letters from my credit cards regarding a major data breach. I only use one card, my bank card, so I called them when I got their letter and they said my account was intact.

I am done with Comcast. This breach happened in December 23 and a great deal of damage could have been done by now.

I have a laptop and will look for the Google account. Thanks.

Another reason not to use any internet e-mail services.
If you cancel your subscription, bye bye emails.

What e-mail services are there that are NOT on the internet?

Do you mean ISP-based services? I canceled my Md ISP account four years ago but can still use that email address. My father canceled his NY ISP account two years ago but can still use that email address. I am surprised that mine still works, but it does.

There may be some ISPs that disable the email account you have with them but not all of them do. I certainly wouldn't bet on an account from a canceled ISP working indefinitely.
