Black Bear Sighting

This adult black bear was wandering around the Village of Chitty Chatty yesterday, June 25th. After meandering around the streets and a few yards, he climbed the fence and disappeared back into the preserve. That ain't no baby!

Well spotted, and great picture.

Wait till he finds out when bin day is!

Great pic, we have a smaller mama with cubs that are growing fast. They live in the woods and walk the paths on occasion.

Yikes!

He/she has been making the rounds lately. Been spotted in Chitty Chatty, Bradford, St. Catherine and Citrus Grove. Must be living in the preserve and coming out to look for an easy meal.

How Awesome! I wish I lived on a preserve…

Every time we play Red or Grey Fox it reminds us of our lake house that have 600 acres of state forest behind us, with lots of deer and really big bears.

That said we also pay attention to tree line while playing at the Foxes 🦊, just waiting for that bear to run out of the woods.

Handsome fella!

Duluth, MN is known for its bears. Also the odd moose wandering the streets. My daughter, who lived in Duluth at the time, chased a bear off her porch with a broom when it decided to raid her trash can.

Nice picture. We keep pushing and pushing them from their habitat. Seems Orlando suburbs residents have daily encounters; in their pools, on their lanais after shredding the screen to get to some sandwiches and chips left on a table, lounging on a patio chaise lounge, and so on. Age old problem when, out of our own need to shelter ourselves and build facilities, we are forced to take their homes. No easy answers.

Probably Brer Rabbit - he was always annoying the other animals

I grew up in Duluth! Bears in the garbage cans all summer long.

Wow, that’s a giant bear and a great picture! Word to the wise, don’t get between a black bear sow and her cubs or corner them and they mostly will not be a threat although bears don’t get that big only eating berries 🙂 Grizzlies are different story.
