Bottom line up front, avoid Solivan Interior Upholstery in Fruitland Park/Leesburg like the plague.

I took my golf cart seat to them to have a place where the stitching had separated along about a 2 inch seam. They (she) gave me a price that I considered high but I was there so I went with it. She called to say it was ready and I could pick it up at a specific time. I went there to get it at that time and the shop was closed. I called and she did not answer.

Two days later- after several calls by me - she answered and again set a time to pick it up. This time she was there and asked for an additional fee because she had to "buy something". I paid it to get out of there.

4 days later the "repair" came apart along with some additional stitching. I called and she asked for photos. I took them and texted to her. She responded and said it was their problem and bring it back on Tuesday (this Tuesday) at 10 AM. I was there at 9:50 and waited until 10:30. I called 3 times and got voice mail. Another customer was also there and was stood up.

I finally left and took the seat to another shop who was surprised at the "poor work". I went back by Solivans at 11:15 and it was still closed. I have not received a response to my 7 phone calls and don't expect to. I am likely out the $137 that she collected along with the time and gas for 4 trips to their shop.

I hope this saves someone else from being ripped off by this business.
