Captain's picks should be either just missed in ranking and playing very well, OR up and coming doing very well youngsters. . so fan favorites or do you want to win?

Individual sports like golf doesn't make good fertile round for creating / finding team sports captains. .

But, the Ryder Cup was conceived to be a friendly golf promotion to cover up for the successful independence revolution from the mother land, when sports for mass entertainment was just beginning. The original intent is no longer needed. The exclusivity of a few, like the olympics, is a motivating force once a person participates. It's a different win, without money, means a lot for individuals and younger motivation to keep the sport alive, and create new fan favorites for future tour events . . high visibility, exclusivity, huge athletic motivations. . . just like the olympics. .

I would think they wouldn't even be considered for vice captains, or whatever those positions are. . I think that BONES would make a great Vice Captain!

I would think the fading trio of musketeers can all sit home comfy with their wives and kids and speculate about the champions tour!

I can only offer an opinion....Tiger is a player....arguably the GOAT. What he isn't is a voyeur. Watching others play a game in a tournament setting....lije the ones hes dominated, would kill him internally. Second guess....err opinion, he doesnt want to be a prop!

That's all humans have are opinions. Points of view influence opinions as does genetics. but there are no facts. . as each human's brain just interprets the environment differently, just like every lie is unique and every day is unique.

Maybe.. but i am more on the Brian Lee side with internal politics, career/money outcomes, and versus visibility and fame/legacy, and some who like tradition because they are precedents by another name, with an excuse for failure. .

All in all, an interesting choice, and hopefully we get back to winning again. .
