On this July 9, 2024, what is your favorite Tom Hanks movie?

I really liked Apollo 13.

Forget the name at the moment but the one with Wilson the basketball

That was Cast Away. Excellent film.

He is just so good. Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13 and so on and so on....

Definitely cast away

Changing my vote to Forrest Gump, but do not think he has made a bad movie.

As a former engineer, I loved the part where engineers became heroes by finding a way to put a square peg into a round hole using nothing but a couple of armloads of junk.

Every time this movie and "Sleepless in Seattle" previews come across the screen husband and I have to watch. He loves Meg Ryan, "she's so cute." He also likes the movies with heavier subject matter like "Saving Private Ryan," but I can't bear to watch that again, twice was enough.
