Four person golf car on golf course

Does anyone use a 4 seat, forward facing golf cart, to actually golf? Is it too big or look foolish? I don't want to be "that guy".

Here is the rule from the Golfing in The Villages brochure:

"A maximum of two bags and riders are allowed per golf car, regardless of the number of seats available. The only exception to this guideline is on the executive courses if the golf car remains on the golf car path at all times."

Yes you can use them on the golf course.

Yes I've seen them

Not foolish................what IS foolish are the little car-type of carts on the course and all the door banging. Take the da^n doors off!!!!

Check with Villages golf but I don't think they allow 4 golfers in one cart plus you would only have room for two sets of clubs. That would slow play even worse than having 4 golfers in 2 carts on championship courses.

Nothing about number of players.

They are not an issue.

As an aside, if you do NOT want to take your long 4-seater onto a course (paths only on the 9-hole exec courses), then you can rent a 2-seater at most/all of the championship courses for the round. Oh, and on the 9-hole exec courses, they all do have hand pull carts available to rent as well,

See Post No. 2 for the official Villages rule.

Now you know that a 4 seater is ok on the course, but just 2 people in it. But, you're retired. Stop worrying about looking foolish or being "that guy". Be you even if others may differ in being "them"

Seeing more of them all the time. They are becoming much more popular than the rear facing 4 seaters. And actually, some off them are shorter than the traditional 4 seater that has the extended bag attachment. Go have fun!

Four-seaters are much longer and parking is not as convenient as a two.

Don't be "that guy" who parks on a Square's street and hangs out. :22yikes:

:ho:

So I should have said the four seaters were allowed but I did state they may only have 2 golfers. It's funny they allow them since the villages claim too many carts on the course the reason the courses are messed up. These 4 seaters are larger and heavier. It's the golfers not obeying the 90 degree rule, driving in restricted and wet areas that are the problem. I personally wouldn't use these 4 seaters or these mini cars for golf.

The way I interpret the rule is that you can have 4 golfers in a cart as long as you are on an executive course and the cart stays on the cart path.
