I enjoyed it. Quite the thriller. But if you a expecting a ballet movie, this is really not a ballet movie, but a psychological thriller/drama involving a ballet dancer on the edge of mental illness. Natalie Portman will probably get a Best Actress Oscar nomination and may even win.

Schaumburger - thanks for the review. Had already seen the trailers from batman and wanted an "in person" opinion. Will go see it this week.

I thought is was a waste of time and money . . . ties for worst movie of the year with Stone!

An intense movie that can disturbing. My better half has taught ballet and thought the dance sequences were beautifully done. Touches on a number of taboo social issues and a real thriller. We thought about it for several days after and feel it was a troubling but positive cinematic experience. Not for the faint of heart.
