Travel to Chile

I was wondering if anyone has traveled to Chile. I happened upon a nature video on tv and it looked like a nice country. The seasons are reversed from here. The research I did online said that it has a stable democratic republic. It's about twice the size of the State of Montana with 19 or so million people living there. TIA
