Lake Mary FL in FINALS of Little League World Series
 

I lived in Lake Mary FL (just north of Orlando) for many years before moving to TV 10 years ago.

The Little League team from LM has made it to the FINALS in Williamsport, PA, winning their so exciting game over Texas yesterday. They will play for the WORLD final game today at 3pm on ABC. Against the winner of the International teams, Taipai Taiwan.

These 10-12 year olds are so talented. Only play 6 innings. Should be a fun watch....

Good for them

My nephew's wife is a nurse in the Orlando area. Her co-worker is the mother of the boy who was the pitcher that got hit hard in the leg by the baseball. He is doing much better this morning and he should be able to play if needed. He is very excited to be able to join his team. THIS IS a great story to follow.

I will be watching but there had better not be any boy over age 12 playing or your team will be disqualified.

Florida Little League World Series

Florida’s own Lake Mary little league team won the little league World Series! The first Florida team ever.

What a game! Congratulations to the team

At 6:30 pm tonight Lake Mary Florida USA won the World Series in extra innings over Taiwan 2-1.

A great game, so exciting. These kids are so talented and played their hearts out. Taiwan had a great team, never lost during the entire series up to tonight. There has to be a loser…. But Lake Mary deserved this win, coming back in so many games and showed guts.

It was a great game. All the teams that participated can be very proud for just making it to the Little League World Series. Congrats to Lake Mary for the sportsmanship they showed with this win.

We watched several of their games, including today. Very impressive!!!

I saw the final out on the national television news last night.

I saw the final out. A lively, bouncing bunt. The pitcher and first basemen for Taiwan run to the ball. The pitcher grabs the ball about 15 feet from home plate on first base line and throws it as fast as he can to first base.
No one is there! (I feel bad for whoever is supposed to cover first base (right fielder I think). They have to live with that..

Any coaches want to say where the error was?

I really enjoyed watching Lake Mary's team, they created a lot of interest in the series. Very happy for the Fla team, just feel sorry for the Asian team loosing on an error. All should feel proud.

Yep - Taiwan second baseman should have run over to first to cover and catch the throw. Poor kid (#18) was despondent after. One of the USA coaches went over and hugged him just after. But a great game by both teams, Lake Mary simply came through in a few tight situations and deserved the win!!!
