A sign that snowbirds will begin migration soon.

Sadness that another year has gone by and happiness that I am still around to meet the new one.

Stu from NYC 08-29-2024 08:47 AM

Confused?

A little sadness for the passing mixed with hope for the success of its seedlings.

I feel a sneeze coming on.

Snowbirds

As a new owner in TV it is really sad to hear how the full timers feel about the snow birds, when we pay our fair share of all of the expenses even though we are not there all year. Makes it possible for the full timers to live there at a reasonable cost.

What would it cost you to live in TV without the snowbirds paying their share all year?

Mrs S 08-30-2024 07:29 AM

Sad

There are many threads on this topic. Not everyone feels this way.

But back to the photo…it reminds me of the dusting I need to do.

And that another autumn is upon us

don't be concerned, it's only a handful of people who complain, only they have loud voices. there's more then a few snowbirds in our area & treat them no differently. matter of fact, i'm glad to see them come back!

Please don’t assume that all frogs (here ‘til we croak) feel that way about snowbirds. What you say about what they contribute is true. Sure, we don’t like the extra traffic and having to make reservations in restaurants again or the extra people on the golf course or pickleball court. However, I play music in a lot of jams every week, and during this part of the year attendance is down about fifty percent. I know that my fellow jammers and I are looking forward to having our friends and fellow musicians rejoin us. We also look forward to the rest of our weekly audiences returning. Welcome Home, Snowbirds!

This site always has an abundance of negative comments. Best to ignore most.

Fruit Coming Soon

Now it's time for the fruit to form and feed the birds or other creatures around.

I was just thinking, snowbirds are full time owners. If they decided to stay full time, the intended construction, density of buildings, everything, was built for full time occupation. Not including renters. So the winter congestion should actually be a year round congestion. (Not that I don’t enjoy the fewer people in off peak season, myself…)
