Question About Brownwood & Spanish Springs Farmers Market

Hello, we moved here approximately two months ago. I've heard about these farmers markets in Spanish Springs & Brownwood. Are they easy to find once you arrive into the town square ? Also are they only on certain days & times ? I appreciate all answers !! Thank you in advance.

Saturday mornings - they surround the square in Brownwood, you can't miss them!

Saturdays 9am to 1pm at both Brownwood and Spanish Springs.

Be prepared for some walking, often have to park a few blocks from the square

 Might be a slight exaggeration..... but the Squares are closed to all vehicle traffic during these events.

Am I missing something? My understanding is that a few years ago the once weekly Thursday Spanish Springs farmers market became the weekly Saturday Brownwood farmers market. I hope I’m wrong, a weekly farmer’s market in SS would be a great thing for us northern Villagers.

Thanks, I checked out the link. We went to that event a couple times, it’s not a farmer’s market, it’s more of an arts and crafts event with one small vegetable vendor. Most importantly, the outstanding vendor that sells delicious fresh seafood at the farmer’s market isn’t there.

The seafood vendors can hoose which market to go to.
The line for their seafood in brownwood is always long.
They go where they will make the most money.

Very few people at Brownwood around 10:00 AM this morning. Beware of the tomatoes, got bad ones twice so won't be buying them again.

They choose to go to where there is a farmer’s market because that’s where people show up in large numbers to purchase food. Of course they don’t go to an arts and crafts event running simultaneously. The seafood vendor used to be at the weekly Spanish Springs farmers market and always had long lines. Unfortunately, that farmers market was moved to a location closer to where new homes are being sold.

I very gently squeeze them before buying and never had a bad one.

We bought sweet corn and potatoes this morning in Brownwood and they were both very good quality and a fair price. Great supper this evening.
