iBeat Heart Watch
A big fear of living alone is dying at home and no one finding your body for days (or longer!). I recently learned of the iBeat Heart Watch which will monitor the heart and notify emergency services if there’s a problem. I’m interested to hear of anyone’s experience if you have this device or some other similar device. For example, how easy is it to use, are there any required subscription services, does it work with android as well as iOS, etc.

You need to consider if you will actually be wearing the watch 24/7/365. I have a Fitbit that needs to be recharged every few days, and I do not wear it when I sleep. I am guessing the app (on the phone) would be able to tell when the watch was not being worn or was being recharged. So, I would not recommend the Fitbit for this service, my wife has an apple watch, but it also needs to be recharged, and I have no idea if the app has the capability to make an emergency phone call.
Looking forward some interesting discussion on this. |

Now, if you are worried about needing medical attention, & not getting it in time, that is a different concern & maybe we can discuss ways to lessen that. |
